With existing security contracts approaching expiration, Azimut Switzerland was seeking a solution better aligned with its operational and compliance needs — one capable of offering an integrated cybersecurity ecosystem within a broader framework of operational risk governance (ICT strategy, change management, run-maintenance, and incident response).
Tinext Cloud redesigned the client’s security strategy, adopting a uniform and fully managed architecture built on the Fortinet ecosystem.
The new security framework includes:
- Next-generation firewall protection for both cloud and on-premises networks;
- Advanced e-mail protection with dynamic antispam services;
- Comprehensive endpoint management and protection (AV and EDR);
- SOC-as-a-Service and MDR (Managed Detection & Response) for continuous monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
The SOC-as-a-Service operates 24/7/365, analyzing network traffic, logs, and endpoint behavior in real time. Any anomalies generated by one or more endpoints are investigated by the MDR service, a team of highly specialized cybersecurity experts. When an event is confirmed as a real threat, Tinext Cloud intervenes promptly to mitigate the issue and strengthen the client’s overall security posture.
Each endpoint covered by the service is continuously evaluated based on its risk level, determined by multiple factors such as missing patches, outdated software, known vulnerabilities, domain group membership, virus presence, or OS version. A risk tag is assigned to each device, allowing other elements in the ecosystem to recognize its security level and enable or restrict access accordingly. In case of significant risk, the device can be isolated automatically to contain any potential threat propagation.
The Fortinet Security Fabric thus creates an integrated ecosystem where all components, such as firewalls, endpoints, authentication, and analytics, communicate seamlessly, improving visibility, simplifying management, and eliminating overlap.
This approach provides enterprise-grade protection typically reserved for large corporations, yet at a cost structure accessible to mid-sized organizations.
